Live captions · translated Q&A · polls · on-device

One talk.
Every language in the room.

JoinInter turns your Mac into a multilingual room. Speech is transcribed and translated on-device, and every phone that scans the QR follows along, asks and votes in its own language.

Built in Chiang Mai

Three barriers keep locals out of the room.

Chiang Mai has a meetup almost every night, and almost all of it is in English. The people who know the city best are the least likely to be in the room. JoinInter turns passing through into passing on.

01

Following the talk

A fast talk in a second language is hard to keep up with.

The speaker’s Mac or iPhone transcribes and translates on-device. Captions stream to every phone in the reader’s language, with the original one tap away.

02

Asking a question

Speaking up in English in front of a room is intimidating.

Ask in Thai and the speaker reads it in English. Everyone else sees it in their own language. Stay anonymous if you like; the room likes the best questions up.

03

Approaching someone

Walking up to a stranger afterwards is harder still.

Wave at the people who liked your question. Once they accept, you both see how to spot each other, with icebreakers in your own language.

Everything in the $30 license

A control room for the talk, a window for every reader.

One signed app. Community features are free; a $30 key unlocks the rest, verifies offline, and covers every 1.x update.

Captions & translation

On-device, in 54 speech locales

Apple Translation, plus NLLB-200 on the Mac for Burmese, Lao, Khmer, Shan and dozens more. Audio never leaves the room; the relay only sees text.

Q&A 2.0

Ask in your language

Likes, threads, anonymous questions, and merges across languages: three people asking the same thing become one question.

Polls

For the quiet half

Choice, word cloud or 1 to 5. Translated both ways. Fire one mid-talk with ⌃⌥⌘P.

OBS output

A source, not a stream app

Browser source, virtual camera and NDI. Full stage or a transparent overlay.

Links

One link, any room

The relay starts with Go live. Public link in one click, branded event links, or fully offline on a hotspot.

iPhone & iPad

The event in your pocket

Standalone for walking tours and yoga classes. Companion as timer, remote, camera or mic.

Recap & export

A proper record

A recap in every attendee’s language; for you, every line, poll and question as JSON, CSV, PDF or Markdown.

Meet

The part after the applause

Questions connect people. Icebreakers grounded in the talk, written by your own AI CLI over MCP.

Stage canvas

Compose the room’s big screen like a lighting designer.

Slides, captions in every language, the join code, timer, a pinned question and a live poll, laid out as zones on a 16:9 stage. Rules do the cueing: pin a question and the rail opens for eight seconds.

Pricing

If it costs us nothing to run, it’s in the $30.

Pro runs on your own Mac, iPhone and network. Anything that needs our servers is Hosted.

Questions

Asked in many languages.

Do attendees need to install an app?

No. Attendees scan a QR code and JoinInter opens in their phone’s browser. They pick a language, read along, ask and meet. No account, nothing to install.

Does audio leave my Mac?

No. Speech recognition and translation run on the presenter’s Mac or iPhone. The relay only ever sees text, keeps rooms in memory and forgets them after 12 hours idle.

Which languages are supported?

Speech input covers 54 locales. Apple Translation covers 19 languages on-device, and the Mac adds NLLB-200 for languages Apple lacks, such as Czech, Burmese, Lao and Khmer.

What does the $30 lifetime license include?

Every Pro feature in the same signed app, and all 1.x updates. One purchase, no subscription, no account. The key verifies offline, so it works at events with no internet.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Run the relay over the venue Wi-Fi or a phone hotspot and everything except the public link works offline: captions, translation, Q&A, polls and Meet.

Is it a Slido alternative?

For in-room events, yes, and it translates. JoinInter translates captions, questions, replies and polls for every attendee, runs on-device, and has no per-event fees.

Can I present from just an iPhone?

Yes. Standalone mode runs a whole session from an iPhone or iPad over its own hotspot.

Let the room
hear itself.
